As the founder of STEM Punks I have a background in innovation, technology and business. Over the past 15 years I have been actively involved in technology commercialisation and created several national and international businesses. It is this knowledge and experience that forms the DNA of STEM Punks.
At STEM Punks, we don't just teach STEM programs, our mission and core of the business is to inspire our students to become future innovators. We do this through creative and innovative programs that not only teach the technology but how this knowledge can be applied to solve real-world problems.
Technology on its own is only an enabler, it is how we apply technology to real world problems that will make a difference in people's life. A common issue for past generations has been that technology has lagged behind, we just "haven't been there" to make things feasible.
Today, we live in a world where technology is not only advanced and available, it is also cheap. The growth in mobile telephone and general electronics consumer goods have sparked a flurry of technology that is very advanced and produced at mass-scale.
The availability of this low cost and advanced technology is what forms the base for our classes and the tools used to inspire our future innovators to solve real-world problems.
